Submitting Homework
Arbor is the first port of call for homework, here students will be given instructions or directed to other apps like Sparx for mathematics. Homework for Sparx does not need to be submitted on Arbor – the teacher will enter ‘submitted’ on Arbor once they’ve checked it has been done.
If homework states, ‘waiting for student to submit’ or ‘not submitted’ in black text, this means the teacher has not yet clicked ‘submitted’, this is nothing to worry about.
However, if it says this in red text it means the teacher has entered ‘not submitted’, meaning homework has not been submitted or completed.
Students only need to ‘upload’ work on Arbor if the teacher has clicked ‘allow students to upload’ when setting the homework task.
If this isn’t an option, then the teacher does not want it submitting on Arbor. This means they will want it handing in during the lesson. if it’s a revision task, nothing will need handing in unless the teacher states otherwise.
