16-19 Tuition Fund
To enable schools to address the impact of Covid-19, and to revisit, strengthen and consolidate student’s learning, the government has provided extra funding for the current academic year to support students whose education has been disrupted by the pandemic. Some of the funding has been ringfenced to support tuition for 16-19 students and is referred to as the 16-19 Tuition Fund.
The Fund is designed to support students in Sixth Form who have not yet achieved a grade 4 in English and/or Mathematics, Students who have not achieved a grade 6 in GCSE English and/or maths at age 16, or students who meet the 16-19 Bursary fund eligibility criteria.
The Hart School will utilise the funding to support eligible students with small group or one to one tuition to mitigate disruption caused by the pandemic to their education. This tuition will be provided to students in addition to their normal programme of study.
For students who are resitting their GCSE in English or Mathematics, tuition will take place at the School, in person, and be delivered by subject expert teachers.
